Bio

David Hom, MD, is the Director of the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery and is Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He is also medical director for facial trauma at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
 
Prior to his career in Cincinnati, Dr. Hom was an associate professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Minnesota Hospitals for more than 12 years.  He also served as the president of the Minnesota Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery from 2005-2006.
 
Dr. Hom specializes in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. This includes procedures to improve facial paralysis. He has received national awards and grants for his wound healing research and has been funded by the National Institutes of Health. 
 
He has published over 85 journal articles and chapters related to otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery. 
Dr. Hom has been recognized in ” Best Doctors of America”, as a “Top Doctor” in Cincinnati, Best Doctors by Castle Connolly, and by the U.S. News & World Report top doctors.
