Bio
Richard Curry, MD, is a neuro-oncologist at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. In 2012, he joined the faculty in both the departments of Hematology/Oncology as well as Neurology. With training in both fields, he is part of both the UC Cancer Institute and UC Neuroscience Institute.
Dr. Curry completed his neurology training as chief resident at UCMC in 2011. His experiences with cancer patients inspired him to pursue additional fellowship training in the field of Neuro-Oncology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. While in New York, he received training on primary and metastatic brain tumors, as well as neurologic complications of cancer. Dr. Curry
is one of only 149 board-certified neuro-oncologists in the United States and
one of only two in the Greater Cincinnati region who has earned a
neuro-oncology certification from the United Council for Neurologic
Subspecialties.

The collaboration between the cancer and neuroscience institutes at UC has provided Dr. Curry with the ability to build a practice for patients with all types of brain tumors, as well as those patients with cancer who are experiencing neurologic symptoms. Besides striving to provide excellent care for his patients, he will focus on developing clinical trials in collaboration with other researchers at UC.
