Robert Walton Neel IV, MD

Bio

Robert Neel, MD, has been a neurologist at the University
of Cincinnati Neuroscience Institute, UC Health and the Muscular Dystrophy
Association (MDA) Clinic at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC)
since 2005.  He serves in the
neuromuscular division of the department, with a special interest in
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and autoimmune neuromuscular disorders.  He continues to work with the ALS Association
and the MDA Association for the development of a comprehensive local ALS clinic
for residents of our community.

He is currently an assistant professor of Neurology and
the co-director of the Neurology Residency Program at the UC College of
Medicine.  In addition to his resident
education responsibilities, Dr. Neel has enjoyed working on the Curriculum Committee
for the medical school, becoming more involved in the future of medical
education in our region.

Dr. Neel was honored with the Cincinnati Business
Courier’s Forty under 40 award in 2010 and has been named to Cincinnati Magazine’s Top Doctors since
2009.

He remains a die-hard Cincinnatian and fan of the
revitalization of the Cincinnati area. 
Having been born at UCMC when it was still called General Hospital, he
intends to live in this area and see the region grow further on an academic and
social basis.  He completed medical
school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, followed by a
neurology Residency at UCMC, and finished with a fellowship at UCMC in
Neuromuscular Medicine/Neurophysiology.
