A number of factors contribute to the cost associated with having a stroke. Dr. Joseph Broderick, Distinguished Research Professor in the department of neurology and rehabilitation medicine and director of the UC Neuroscience Institute, presented the findings of a new study exploring those costs at the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s annual International Stroke Conference 2014 in San Diego.
